The Perfect September Start

Ladies and Gentleman, What a night.

I started the evening by heading to a random location in Shoreditch that had been emailed to me. Yep, I know that sounds like the start of a murder mystery, but in this case it was for a Sofar Sounds event.

I am going to be honest, I was a little hesitant. Sofar organizes events in random locations around the city and has three artists (musicians, poets, comedians, etc.) perform a set each night. In this case, it was musician Will Barradale, poet Laurie Bolger and musician Sebastian Schub. When Will finished his performance I thought that would definitely be the peak of the evening and contemplated leaving. But honestly, it just kept getting better and better. There was singing, laughing, wine drinking, friendly banter and more- which truly exceeded all expectations I had.

After the performance I got a cab back to Marylebone to have some drinks, make some new friends and party the night away - in the way you only can at The Chiltern Firehouse. Let’s just say, I went to bed at 3:30 and the party was still raging on.

Shockingly, I forced myself to get up early this morning and head to the Tate Modern for the Olafur Eliasson exhibit- an immersive, fun, and very Instagrammable hot ticket here in London. But the highlight of today has been how truly beautiful it is outside.

So beautiful that I walked all 7 miles back from the Tate - through South Bank, St. James Park, Westminster, Mayfair and more. It does not get more perfect than that.

Now I am off to eat some lunch (I’m starving), shower (ha) and then start another truly memorable evening (lets just say it involves champagne and Buckingham Palace).

Can I move here?!

Happy September!
